What is ContactVault?
ContactVault is a privacy-first way to make first contact with potential employers. You send a short message and structured résumé data through our relay; the employer can rate your chances and optionally leave a note — without ever seeing your real email or identity until you decide to reveal it.

How it works (in brief)
- You compose a short message and add résumé highlights (no file uploads yet).
- We relay it to the employer from a ContactVault address.
- The email includes four rating buttons: Very Unlikely, Unlikely, Likely, Very Likely.
- When clicked, their rating (and optional message) is securely returned to you.
Roadmap
Here’s what to expect next. Timelines may shift as we prioritize reliability and security:
- Attachments: Upload PDF résumés / portfolios with the same privacy guarantees.
- Dashboard: Richer tracking (status, expirations, analytics) — expanding the current premium view.
- Magic-link login: Account-free authentication via email link; 1/day for regular, 10/day for premium.
- Employer directory: Opt-in job board view with privacy-preserving contact flow.
- Community ratings: Aggregate employer communication scores to guide job-seekers.

Transparency notes
- Data retention: Messages and logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery and abuse prevention, then purged automatically.
- Headers & metadata: We strip or minimize identifying information where feasible; employers do not see your real email.
- Encryption: TLS in transit; architecture designed with post-quantum–resistant goals.
- No ads, no resale: We don’t sell data — ever.
