About ContactVault
What is ContactVault?
ContactVault is a specialized email provider for applicants. You choose the employer name and email address, write the message yourself, and decide when to send it. We provide the applicant-side sending address, anonymized reply mailbox, and technical guardrails that let you initiate first contact without exposing your personal inbox. The practical benefit is not privacy alone: it also reduces wasted time, lowers anxiety, and improves the chance of getting a clear response without giving up personal contact data at the start.
- Reduce wasted time by testing first contact before investing in a longer application process.
- Lower anxiety by separating employer communication from your personal identity and inbox.
- Protect your privacy with applicant-side mailbox addresses, confirmation steps, and short retention.
- Get clearer feedback faster through structured employer response options and ordinary email replies.
What we stand for
- Applicant-controlled communication. The applicant picks the recipient, writes the content, and explicitly confirms send.
- Applicant-side infrastructure. ContactVault acts as the applicant’s specialized email tool, not as an employer platform.
- Privacy by design. Minimize data, encrypt in transit, keep retention short by default.
- Plain, honest UX. No dark patterns, no tracking pixels, no data resale, no lead generation.
- Security-forward. Built with modern cryptography and post-quantum-resistant design goals.
What ContactVault is not
- Not an employer marketplace. We do not operate an employer directory or employer portal as part of the active product.
- Not a recruiting broker. We do not match candidates to employers or negotiate between both sides.
- Not a marketing tool. ContactVault is not designed for campaigns, prospecting sequences, or unsolicited commercial outreach.
- Not a public review platform. We provide applicant mailbox infrastructure, not public ratings or reputation scoring.
How it works (in brief)
- You enter the employer name and email address, compose the message, and add structured résumé highlights.
- You confirm the send from your own mailbox. Nothing is sent until you actively approve it.
- ContactVault sends the message from an applicant-side ContactVault address instead of your personal email address.
- The employer can reply normally by email or use one of four outcome buttons: Interested, Not moving forward, Please apply via our portal, or Role already filled.
- You receive the reply and any structured outcome in your ContactVault applicant inbox without giving up your real email address.
Roadmap
Here’s what to expect next. Timelines may shift as we prioritize reliability, privacy, and abuse resistance:
- Attachments: Upload PDF résumés and portfolios with the same privacy guarantees.
- Inbox improvements: Better thread views, clearer outcome history, and stronger applicant-side message management.
- Account/session controls: Expand secure magic-link access with stronger session hardening and clearer self-service controls.
- Applicant-side protections: More delivery guardrails, better abuse reporting, and clearer visibility into retention and deletion.
Contact & Press
For questions, partnerships, or press inquiries:
Transparency notes
- User initiation: Every outgoing message is addressed, written, and confirmed by the applicant. ContactVault does not run campaigns on your behalf.
- Data retention: Messages and logs are kept only as long as needed for delivery, replies, and abuse prevention, then purged automatically.
- Headers & metadata: We minimize identifying information where feasible; employers do not see your real email address by default.
- Encryption: TLS in transit; architecture designed with post-quantum-resistant goals.
- No ads, no resale: We do not sell data and do not monetize applicant contact data.
