Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to use ContactVault comfortably. The product is not fully optimized for accessibility yet. We are actively improving it and a future version will ship with substantial upgrades. In the meantime, we already prioritize strong color contrast and readable typography so core content remains clear and legible.

What already works well

• High contrast colors and typography choices designed for readability.
• Logical page structure with semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer).
• Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images are marked appropriately.
• Keyboard focus is visible on interactive elements using default browser focus styles.
• Content scales cleanly when you zoom the page.

Known limitations (current release)

• Some interactive components may lack complete ARIA labeling and descriptions for screen readers.
• Focus order and keyboard handling may be inconsistent in a few UI elements, especially on mobile menus.
• No dedicated “skip to content” link yet.
• Some status messages may not be announced programmatically by assistive technologies.
• Preference controls (reduced motion, larger text, theme contrast) are limited.
• Third‑party or embedded content might not fully meet accessibility expectations.

Roadmap

• Short term: add skip‑links, refine heading hierarchy, ensure form labels and instructions are explicit, improve focus management in menus and dialogs, and audit color states beyond base contrast.
• Mid term: comprehensive keyboard testing, improved screen reader announcements for live updates and errors, and alignment with widely accepted guidelines for accessible use.
• Long term: user preference panel for larger text, reduced motion, and higher contrast themes; continuous audits with feedback from users of assistive tech.
